The big smoke is going to be bathed in ’sustainable lighting design’ from tomorrow night until the 14th February when Switched on London lights up 16 sites, including HMS Belfast, between the London and Tower Bridges. The organisers are apparently keen to counter negative publicity by proving the environmental credentials of architectural lighting, which sounds very worthy. Although if I’m being honest (gulp) I’m more excited by it’s potential to offer a new perspective on some of the city’s great landmarks and being a jaw dropping visual treat in the process.
