Micheál O’Connell’s Feed Lack Loop, performed simultaneous at Digiville in Brighton and online within Second Life last night, drew a large and very amiable crowd who like me, were quite happy to spend some time watching a tall, hairy bloke mimic his own avatar (harder than you might think!). It was a shame that you couldn’t see what was happening in the virtual gallery space also projected onto the big screen at Lighthouse, as it would have helped to contextualizes the event, but it’s not everyday you get to see a (sober) man howl at this own image in public, which was both amusing and disconcerting and very probably a real/virtual world first.
