I was approached by New Media Knowledge (NMK) to develop and produce an event, as part of their Dynamo London programme, that would provide a platform for London’s creative community to showcase their work and discuss the things that matter to them and their peers.
The event was part showcase, part confessional – with ten of the UK’s finest digital designers baring their creative souls and sharing their work and wisdom. Each revealed – in less than seven minutes – ‘the best advice I’ve ever been given’. and offered anyone with an interest or opinion about design and creativity, new or established, the opportunity to make a presentation. It was visually exciting, light-hearted and personal; topics ranged from recently finished projects, new product or R&D ideas, to something exciting the presenter wanted to share with everyone.
An audience of 120 creatives packed into the Soho venue; an informal, social and inclusive environment encouraged networking that sparked collaboration. The event had the energy of a stand-up comedy gig with inspiring visual content.
